DESIGN: Although only one model, but the feeling to the legendary camper comes very close
A well preserved T 2 Camper from VW costs really a lot of money. This vehicle stands for freedom and informality. For many,
who may call such a vehicle their own, a self-built model in the scale of LEGO is perhaps the icing on the cake. Or even for people who generally have a penchant for the T2. Simply because it looks great and is an eye-catcher even on the desk or wherever you want to put it. Now some may say that the model does not necessarily correspond to the original, especially in the front area. So be it. The overall appearance is pretty well implemented by LEGO and definitely conveys a primal feeling of freedom that you could achieve with such a vehicle back then.

The LEGO Group has added another iconic vehicle to its vehicle portfolio with the latest version of the ubiquitous LEGO® Volkswagen T2 Camper Van, complete with pop-up roof and tent, ready for summer road trip adventures.
Modeled after its late 1960s and 1970s namesake, the new LEGO Volkswagen T2 Camper Van succeeds the popular LEGO Creator Expert Volkswagen T1 Camper Van with many new features added. The new set is larger than before and features a new paint job, a sliding door, and the T2’s signature wrap-around baywindow windshield and new, instantly recognizable „face.“
Under the hood, the set also has working steering. The detailed interior of the LEGO Volkswagen T2 Camper Van is ready for the open road with fold-out cabinets, a refrigerator, sink and gas stove with teapot. Beach days are also catered for, as the set includes a set of folding chairs and, of course, a surfboard, while a folding rear bench seat provides a comfortable spot under the stars.
Volkswagen campers are, of course, synonymous with customization, and the LEGO Volkswagen T2 Camper Van set is fully prepared for personalization, with a sticker set that includes retro decals and a choice of German or American license plates.
