Wie bereits in Kanada, Italien und Japan sind nun auch in Polen eindrucksvolle Customizing-Projekte auf Basis der BMW R 18 entstanden und BMW Motorrad Polen hat die Ergebnisse enthüllt: sieben gleichermaßen spektakuläre wie individuelle Kreationen mit dem „Big Boxer“ im Zentrum.

BMW und MINI Vertriebspartner Inchcape Wrocêaw in Breslau ließ sich beim Design der BMW R 18 Roadster ganz vom Automobilbau der 1920er und 1930er Jahre inspirieren. Klare und einfache Linien standen dabei im Vordergrund und führten zusammen mit einem Schuss Art déco schließlich zu einem sehr cleanen und gleichfalls einzigartigen Look der R 18 Roadster. Eine komplett neu entwickelte Höckersitzbank mit Zusatztank und „Monza Cap“-Einfüllstutzen verhilft der Heckpartie R 18 Roadster zu einer sehr sportlichen Erscheinung, die vorne durch eine passend dazu gestaltete Cockpitverkleidung mit speziellem Lenker ergänzt wird. Stilbildende Design-Elemente sind längslaufende Sicken in Sitzbankhöcker und Verkleidung. Aufgenommen wir diese Formensprache in den mit Durchbrüchen versehenen Zierelementen an den Tankseiten sowie am aerodynamisch gestalteten Vorderradkotflügel, dessen Front die legendäre BMW Niere als Reminiszenz an den BMW Automobilbau ziert.

As in Canada, Italy and Japan, impressive customising projects based on the BMW R 18 have now also been created in Poland and BMW Motorrad Poland has unveiled the results: seven equally spectacular and individual creations with the „Big Boxer“ at the centre.

BMW and MINI sales partner Inchcape Wrocêaw in Wroclaw drew inspiration for the design of the BMW R 18 Roadster entirely from automobile construction of the 1920s and 1930s. Clear and simple lines were at the forefront and, together with a dash of Art Deco, ultimately led to a very clean and equally unique look for the R 18 Roadster. A completely newly developed hump seat with additional fuel tank and „Monza Cap“ filler neck gives the rear end of the R 18 Roadster a very sporty appearance, which is complemented at the front by a matching cockpit trim with special handlebars. Style-forming design elements are longitudinal beading in the seat hump and fairing. This design language is taken up in the decorative elements with openings on the tank sides and on the aerodynamically designed front wheel wing, the front of which is adorned with the legendary BMW kidney as a reminder of BMW automobile construction.
