Opel up close: Winning design will be built as a one-off by the German manufacturer

Rüsselsheim. Opel wants to build a very special one-off of the battery-electric Rocks-e. As a locally emission-free light vehicle, the innovative Opel-SUM („Sustainable Urban Mobility“) for two opens the door to individual electric mobility for young drivers from the age of 151 – which is why Opel is now inviting up-and-coming artists around the globe to create their individual Rocks-e design concept.

The Rocks-e-Design-Hack, launched by Opel, is a social media contest aimed at young creatives. Non-professional creative talents and design students aged 18 to 27 can send their unusual, cool or even crazy Rocks-e-Design designs to opeldesignhack.com and Opel will build the winning design as a Rocks-e-Unikat.

„The Rocks-e Design Challenge is an exceptional way for a young audience to get up close and personal with Opel. The open design competition will spark further attention and enthusiasm for our unique Rocks-e,“ says Opel design chief Mark Adams in the YouTube video

A jury consisting of Opel experts and influencers will finally select the winning design. In addition, Mark Adams will personally accompany the Rocks e-Design Contest on his Instagram-Channel
