AUTOMOBILE CULTURE: A unique Fiat 130 Familiare owned by the Agnelli family

Dieser handgefertigte Kombi gehörte Dr. Umberto Agnelli, dem Bruder von Firmengründer Giovanni Agnelli. Maximal vier Exemplare entstanden Anfang der 1970er Jahre.

Eine Sonderausstellung der Bremen Classic Motorshow unter dem Motto „Kombi-Nationen“ und stellte eine Fahrzeugkategorie in den Mittelpunkt, die in der Klassikerszene immer mehr Bedeutung gewinnt – Kombis.

Fiat beteiligte sich an der Sonderschau mit einem Fiat 130 Familiare aus dem Besitz von Dr. Umberto Agnelli, dem Bruder von Giovanni Agnelli. Das Fahrzeug wurde 1972 von den auf Sonderkarosserien spezialisierten Experten der Officine Introzzi in Lipomo am Comer See handgefertigt. Als Basis diente die Limousine der Baureihe, zu der Zeit das Topmodell der italienischen Marke. Für standesgemäßen Vortrieb sorgte der V6-Benziner des Fiat 130 Coupé, der aus 3,2 Litern Hubraum 121 kW (165 PS) produzierte. Das Design stammte vom hauseigenen Centro Stile Fiat.

Officine Introzzi stellte nach heutigem Kenntnisstand maximal vier Exemplare des Fiat 130 Familiare her, der Verbleib von drei ist bekannt. Das erste Fahrzeug ging an Giovanni Agnelli persönlich, der den praktischen und edlen Kombi vor allem im Winterurlaub in St. Moritz nutzte. Der charakteristische Dachgepäckträger aus Korbgeflecht diente dem Transport von Skiern. Der silbern lackierte und mit Seitenverkleidungen aus Kunststoff in Holzoptik versehene Kombi gehört heute dem italienischen Sammler Corrado Lopresto. Einen weiteren, nur farblich unterschiedlichen Fiat 130 Familiare schenkte L’Avvocato (der Rechtsanwalt) -, wie Agnelli respektvoll genannt wurde, dem Restaurator Guido Nicola. Nicola war für die große Kunstsammlung Agnellis zuständig, die er später der Stadt Turin vermachte. Ein drittes, für Dr. Umberto Agnelli gebautes Exemplar wirkt mit cremefarbener Karosserie und bronzefarbenem Dach sehr elegant.

Dieser auf der Bremen Classic Motorshow (www.classicmotorshow.de) ausgestellte Fiat 130 Familiare stammt aus der Sammlung von FCA Heritage, der auf die Klassiker der Marken Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia und Abarth spezialisierten Abteilung des Unternehmens.
This handmade estate car belonged to Dr. Umberto Agnelli, the brother of company founder Giovanni Agnelli. A maximum of four examples were built in the early 1970s.

A special exhibition at the Bremen Classic Motorshow under the motto „Station Wagon Nations“ and focused on a vehicle category that is becoming increasingly important in the classic car scene – station wagons.

Fiat participated in the special show with a Fiat 130 Familiare owned by Dr Umberto Agnelli, Giovanni Agnelli’s brother. The vehicle was hand-built in 1972 by the experts at Officine Introzzi in Lipomo on Lake Como, who specialised in special bodies. It was based on the sedan of the series, which was the top model of the Italian brand at the time. The V6 petrol engine of the Fiat 130 Coupé, which produced 121 kW (165 hp) from 3.2 litres of displacement, provided the propulsion befitting its status. The design came from the in-house Centro Stile Fiat.

As far as we know today, Officine Introzzi produced a maximum of four examples of the Fiat 130 Familiare, the whereabouts of three are known. The first vehicle went to Giovanni Agnelli himself, who used the practical and noble estate car mainly on winter holidays in St. Moritz. The characteristic wicker roof rack was used to transport skis. The silver-painted station wagon with wood-look plastic side panels now belongs to the Italian collector Corrado Lopresto. Another Fiat 130 Familiare, only different in colour, was donated by L’Avvocato (the lawyer) – as Agnelli was respectfully called – to the restorer Guido Nicola. Nicola was responsible for Agnelli’s large art collection, which he later bequeathed to the city of Turin. A third example built for Dr. Umberto Agnelli looks very elegant with cream-coloured bodywork and bronze-coloured roof.
