Wie bereits in Kanada, Italien und Japan sind nun auch in Polen eindrucksvolle Customizing-Projekte auf Basis der BMW R 18 entstanden und BMW Motorrad Polen hat die Ergebnisse enthüllt: sieben gleichermaßen spektakuläre wie individuelle Kreationen mit dem „Big Boxer“ im Zentrum.

Nine Hills Motorcycles in Chełmno ist ein renommiertes polnisches Unternehmen mit Traditionen, geführt von einem wahren Enthusiasten – Paweł Stachura. Seine Entwürfe finden auf der ganzen Welt Anerkennung und die Motorräder haben schon auf den besten Custom-Bühnen dieser Welt triumphiert. Sein Auftragsprojekt auf Basis der BMW R18 mit dem Namen Liberty umfasst von Grund auf neu gestaltete, handgefertigte Karosseriekomponenten wie Kraftstofftank, Front- und Heckkotflügel, Sitzbank, Lampenverkleidung mit kleinem LED-Scheinwerfer und Lenker. Besonderheiten sind das in den Tankmitteltunnel integrierte Rundinstrument, bündig mit der Tankoberfläche abschließende und auf Druck zu öffnende Tankeinfüllstutzen sowie exklusive und ebenfalls handgefertigte Lederkomponenten wie Sitzbankpolster und Seitentasche. Fahrwerksseitig kommen neben einer tiefergelegten und voll einstellbaren Hinterradaufhängung und einer ebenfalls etwas tiefer gelegten Gabel auch dreiteilige Räder von Rick’s Motorcycles in den Größen 8 x 18 Zoll hinten und 3,5 x 21 Zoll vorne mit Bereifung im Format 240/40-18 respektive 130/60-21 zum Einsatz. Zahlreiche CNC-Frästeile wie Zylinderkopfhauben oder der speziell entworfene Design-Ölkühler sowie Bremssättel und Fußrasten von Beringer ergänzen die aufwendig lackierte und mit Airbrush-Arbeiten garnierte R 18 Liberty geschmackvoll. Für den guten Ton sorgt eine kurze schwarze FCR-Auspuffanlage.

Nine Hills Motorcycles in Chełmno is a renowned Polish company with traditions, led by a true enthusiast – Paweł Stachura. His designs are recognised all over the world and the motorbikes have already triumphed on the best custom stages in this world. His commissioned project based on the BMW R18 called Liberty includes handmade bodywork components designed from scratch, such as fuel tank, front and rear wings, seat, lamp fairing with small LED headlight and handlebars. Special features include the round instrument integrated into the tank centre tunnel, fuel filler necks that are flush with the tank surface and can be opened under pressure, as well as exclusive and likewise handmade leather components such as seat cushions and side pocket. On the chassis side, in addition to a lowered and fully adjustable rear suspension and a slightly lowered fork, three-piece wheels from Rick’s Motorcycles in sizes 8 x 18 inches at the rear and 3.5 x 21 inches at the front with 240/40-18 and 130/60-21 tyres respectively are used. Numerous CNC-milled parts such as cylinder head covers or the specially designed oil cooler as well as brake callipers and footrests from Beringer tastefully complement the R 18 Liberty, which is elaborately painted and garnished with airbrush work. A short black FCR exhaust system provides the good sound.
